OVER-NIGHT PACKS
Again this project is run by the six Lions Clubs in the local area including the
Littleborough and District Lions Club.
It is also run by several other Lions Clubs around the country.
WHAT IS IT?
It is a scheme where we supply the local Hospital's Medical Emergency Wards with special 'over-night packs'. These packs contain a comb, soap, flannel, toothbrush and toothpaste. (See picture below)
The packs are given to anybody who has an unexpected overnight stay in the hospital.
They are also available to any carer who stays with the patient.
The pack is labelled with details of the local Lions Club plus a contact phone number.
WHAT DO WE DO?
Between the Clubs, we keep a stock of these packs, and supply to the hospitals
as and when needed.
We buy the packs via Elmet Lions Club who arrange transport to a local point.
The Immediate local hospitals covered are
Rochdale Infirmary and Spring Hill Hospice.
