LIONS CLUBS INTERNATIONAL PEACE POSTER COMPETITION
“PEACE BEGINS WITH ME”
The local heat of this years competition has been won by Phoebe Wilkinson who is a pupil of Smithybridge Primary School.
The theme for this year’s Peace poster is “Peace Begins With Me”
The Contestants also wrote a brief explanation of their work on the reverse side of the poster.
The winning poster, complete with caption is shown on the right .
This poster will now go forward to our District Final, which takes place on November 16th.
Phoebe will be invited, accompanied by her parents, to switch on the Littleborough Lights at the Lancashire Day celebrations, which will be held in Littleborough Square on Thursday 27th November, from 5pm .
Peace to me means all the world joining together, that is why in my picture I show all the colours of skins.
I believe peace should start somewhere and I want it to start with me. That is why I am right in the middle of my poster
