ANNUAL 5K FUN RUN
Despite earlier rain, there was a fairly good turn out for this event.
First home, in 16 minutes 28 seconds, was Tony Battersby from Leigh Harriers, followed by Jon Dance at 16 minutes 57 seconds.
Rob Jackson came a close third at 17 minutes 6 seconds.
First Lady home was Emma Flanagan, from Rossendale Harriers, at 18 minutes and 25 seconds.
The Members of Littleborough & District Lions Club would like to express their thanks to all the competitors who demonstrated that they were not just fair weather runners by taking part in this event.
We would also like to thank those who helped with the marshalling around the route and to the St Johns Ambulance people who were also on standby around the route.
